Digital Trading Executive

Right now, our outstanding digital trading team is on the hunt for a Digital Trading Exec to manage the day to day trading of a selected online category and be key to the team in ensuring we are successfully achieving our commercial objectives.

Each of our Digital Trading Executives are responsible for a specific set of categories across the Argos website which covers a great variety of products in which the role will be responsible for. Including reviewing product performance and ensuring we are optimising our on line channels to support the customer journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an evolving and growing department, working in a fast paced environment and playing an important role in supporting our digital transformation.

Taking ownership of tracking key metrics in the category you will have a key focus on looking at run rates on Visits/Sales/Participation/Conversion/Search trends and creating daily actions to improve these. You will also be creating implementation plans to enhance the category, through new range launch/re-categorisation/seasonal changes etc.

This role will give you the opportunity to face into some key areas of the business including communicating daily with Trading on short term goals, and weekly planning meetings to ensure future activity is on track.

As a Digital Trading Executive your skills and experience will ideally include:

Proven experience within a similar environment
Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret data and make decisions at pace to increase category activity.
Drive and determination to succeed and set your own high-standards with regards to online merchandising and execution.
Good networking and influencing skills. Comfortable interacting with stakeholders internally and externally.
Ability to work under pressure, multi taking numerous projects at once with the ability to carry out high level review product performance.
Demonstrable commercial awareness
