Fashion Studio Manager

In a nutshell

To manage all production aspects of the Fashion Studio for TU online content. To manage both the Photo, Video and Production workflows through the studio ensuring the studio is running efficiently and within the KPI’s and SLA’s set. To manage the teams and ensure they are hitting daily/weekly and monthly targets. Ensuring that we are hitting our briefs and deadlines whilst remaining loyal to brand guidelines.

What I need to do

Studio Workflow Management - Control and oversee all workflow and shoot requirements for the Digital Studio Responsible for the creative and technical output of the studio. Manage the budget to ensure the studio is working to model. Ensuring we are covering all costs in order to create timely, creative and impactful content whilst staying within our budget.
Studio Team Management - Responsible for line management of all studio team members including a photographer, stylists, floor coorindators, copy writers and post production. Also responsible for any freelance production crew used on projects.
Standards and KPI’s: Responsible for setting and monitoring KPI’s and Targets for the team. All content to be created to the highest standard whilst in keeping with the company brand guidelines. KPI’s are based on productivity and quality of shots/videos.
Collaborative working: Build and maintain honest, trusting and collaborative relationships both internally within Bradwell Media Bedford and with wider business stakeholders. Have confidence in directing talent on set when needed.
Quality Control and Champion innovation: Responsbile for the overall look of the content released including copy. Manage Quality control checks and mesures to ensure nothing gtes to our customers that we deem sub-standard. Continually research our market and competitors. Focus on creativity and pushing boundaries where relevant to inspire our customers/clients and exceed their expectations. Actively seek and provide feedback in order to constantly improve. Always keep the customer in mind when producing any content.
Communication: Work closely with the production team and wider content teams contributing to a positive and professional team ethos. Act in line with, and role model the company values.
Experience and Knowledge: Maintain a high standard of technical skill, creative ability and team development within the studio, using own skill and experience to develop members where needed using coaching or mentoring techniques. Perform regular 1-2-1’s and appraisals in line with company policy. Develop individuals to realise their potential and promote the company leadership model. Encourage a “safe” coaching environment within the studio where individuals can learn, work with the team to create individual PDAP’s, promote training and build succession within the studio

Health and Safety – Ensure the studio confirms to the health and safety requitements and that all team members are working in a safe environment

How I will succeed

Ensure that all KPI’s and SLA’s are set, measured and hit. Responsible delivering digital content from both a volume and creative perspective.
Engage and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure we are creating the right content to make a difference to our customers.
Deliver future developments in Fashion Digital content aligned to new customer expectations and exploiting new technology and functionality.
Support and manage the team

What I need to know


A seasoned professional within in a content studio environment with solid experience of senior or management experience.
Advanced knowledge and technical background in photography or Video
Expertise in working with Mac-based systems.
Keen eye for detail in both written (copy) and visual work.
Proven experience in studio production and/or taking a project from start to finish, be they small or large scale productions.
Expereince in managing a budget.
Passion for Fashion content and the desire to move an exciting and busy department forward.
Keeping the customer at the forefront of your mind at all times to continually create ways to help improve the customer journey and experience.
To have the ability to make informed, decisive decisions.
Must be dedicated to delivering over and above expectations and willing to go the extra mile to make this happen.
Ability to manage and prioritise own time and deliver to meet deadlines.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to develop yourself and others within the team.
Ability to strive towards company objectives and to live by the company values and conducts self in a professional and responsible manner. Must be able to build relationships with both internal and external clients and departments at a wide range of levels.
Ability to be a team player that can help to excite & engage and drive a project. As is the ability to self manage and work alone when required.
Would have potential to move to a senior position or develop cross functionally across the team or wider business.


Experience working for a fashion digital retailer
Experience in working with Styleshoot photographic machinery,
Experienced photographer with ability to shoot model fashion photography.
Understanding of content in retail and in particular where video can sit within the customer journey. Experience in presenting to senior stakeholder or clients
Experience in writing brand guidelines
Experience in copy writing.

Team of 7 within the Fashion Studio
Total Studio budget of approx. £700k
Support in managing budgets and timescales
Training is available through internal courses and we also have a department training budget for the year
Would have potential to move to a Production Manager role or develop cross functionally across the team or wider business.
