From imports to replenishment, supply efficiency and supplier management, we’re using the latest technology and innovative thinking to improve our supply chain, maximise sales and reduce costs.
As an Imports Operator, you will be working within our Imports Department optimising stock availability and logistics flow. You will be working closely with wider Commercial Supply Teams, Asia Sourcing Office, Suppliers, Internal Distribution & 3PL’s, with the primary objective of smooth transition of Purchase Orders from shipment through to delivery from our international suppliers (Europe/ ISCA/ Asia/ ROW). Providing business analysis and issues resolution to support the Imports Strategy.
More about the role:
Day to day liaison with carriers/ freight forwarders/ Container planning and resolution of issues relating to importing of all General Merchandise
Working with the Stock Teams to manage and reduce aged stock in UK Offdock
Support the business with any changes to the network, to ensure minimum disruption to service
Regular communications with supply teams regarding vessel delays and impact
Resolving payment queries from our providers
Driving personal development to continuously improve, through effective relationship management of category supply teams, distribution & 3PL’s
More about you:
Experience working in Internal Supply Chain / Freight Management preferable
Must be able to demonstrate commercial awareness
Understanding of Trading, Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Operations gained in an FMCG environment would be advantageous
Confident with MS Office packages including Excel, PowerPoint and Office
