The Argos Biddable Media team is responsible for building and activating digital programmatic media in support of our business goals and is a rapidly growing discipline within the group.
As Digital Marketing Assistant you will play a supporting role in the planning, activation and optimisation of our display, social, video and programmatic efforts. Our mission is to deliver a performance media ecosystem with the best of breed technology, data, targeting, strategy and performance for programmatic media.

The key to this role is the day to day management of programmatic campaigns, meeting performance goals, exceeding business trading expectations and tracking projects. Channel development includes programmatic display media, video, mobile, and paid and organic social campaigns.
As a Digital Marketing Assistant, your duties will include:
Support in the build and delivery of annual, seasonal and product campaign plans.
Continually audit and establish program and channel measurement KPIs to respond to commercial objective on a seasonal and campaign level.
Activate at scale our highly valuable customer data and insight to improve key customer metrics and customer value.
Day to day key point of contact for digital agencies and partners, including Facebook and Google.
Promote data-driven analysis and insights to improve campaign effectiveness and value to Sainsbury’s Argos.
Develop a reporting cadence to support category trading initiatives while balancing programme targets.
Develop beneficial media partner relationships with ad exchanges, networks, data partners and publishers – such as Google & Facebook.
Develop QA processes for creative and compliant assets, alongside in-depth analysis to understand performance beyond top-line metrics.
Schedule paid and organic social content on Sprinklr platform for Sainsburys Home and Tu Clothing, in line with the campaign content calendar.
Liaise with key contacts at our design agencies and internal design team to ensure creative meets platform guidelines, is delivered to a high standard and in line with critical timings.
Manage relationship between digital agencies and internal stakeholders.
Manage the uploading of tactical, brand and supplier video advertising to YouTube, working with multiple agencies to manage critical paths and launch campaigns across brands.
Manage the set up and delivery of high volume of incoming campaigns on behalf of our Media Business
Develop the always-on display, video and social marketing campaigns into a scale customer acquisition channel.
Your experience will include:
Previous digital marketing experience, particularly in paid media or social media.
Knowledge of the retail digital landscape, knowledge across key technology and publisher vendors.
Working with large media budgets.
Experience of working with marketing agencies.
Strong data literacy with understanding of how data flows across and through internal and external systems, to bring our digital advertising to life.
High numeracy, for accountability and capability in explaining channel performance.
An analytical mind to cut through complexity quickly and make sound judgements, to arrive at appropriate recommendations/optimisations in campaign proposals/activity.
Effective, communication and professionalism are imperative as this role will need to develop cross-team relationships.
A self-starter attitude and excitement to operate in a high velocity and innovative team and industry.
Ability to think through both customer and commercial lenses to deliver market beating plans.
Enthusiasm for the media industry as a whole, being particularly inquisitive about the evolving landscape of digital channels.
