As a Finance Analyst, you will sit within the Finance team and will provide insightful analysis into Argos Financial Services’ weekly and periodic performance and will support the commercial teams with decision making.
This role offers the autonomy to brief commercial stakeholders, improving their knowledge of the business and supporting their decision making, ultimately helping to steer business direction.
As a Finance Analyst, you will;
Extract data using SQL software from Argos Financial Services’ data tables
Develop a good knowledge of the AFS customer base, and use that knowledge to analyse trends & articulate the reasons for changes
Analyse complex problems with multiple interdependencies, picking out which are the largest impacts that can be controlled
Have a good understanding of how the AFS P&L works, to explain how changes to customer behaviour impacts financial performance
Support the wider Finance team during the month end process, proactively running information on a timely basis to provide insight
Influence not only finance stakeholders, but also commercial teams on the best route forward to mitigate issues found through analysis and protect profitability
Have ownership of the AFS credit NPV model, through both the building and maintenance of the model and understanding the changes in profitability
Work independently and be flexible with timelines and workloads due to the large element of ad hoc work involved in the role
As a Finance Analyst, you will have;
Proficiency in SQL coding to be able to build complex datasets to answer business critical issues
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; an ability to think and reason logically
The ability to work with large and complex data sets autonomously to understand key drivers and trends
Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure
The ability to communicate results of highly complex analysis in a way that is relevant for a variety of different stakeholders, both finance and non-finance
Strong influencing skills across both finance and non-finance stakeholders
The ability to work in an agile manner
