As Senior Commercial Analyst, you will become part of the newly-formed Commercial Analytical Team within Argos Financial Services Product and Pricing Team, where you will help shape and inform the business on new and exciting Argos FS portfolio opportunities.
We’re looking for someone with a data analysis background to support Argos Financial Services in monitoring all aspects of the “customer value chain”, from acquisition through to customer management for all AFS products. Our customer value chain focuses on driving good customer outcomes and therefore encouraging returning Argos Financial Services customers.
You’ll assist in the monitoring, evaluating, communicating and reporting on all aspects of the “customer value chain” providing the business with updates on portfolio performance and overall profitability by supporting the build of a new reporting suite. You will investigate new opportunities for the business including new products, adapting to new regulations and new ways of working.
You’ll be a support to other teams within AFS by providing commercial analytical insight, challenging initiatives to maximise the customer value or by optimising costs. You’ll be part of the full process of business change, starting at analysing to quantify the change, gaining stakeholders support to gain business governance approval and support implementation of business change initiatives.

As Senior Commercial Analyst, you will:
Facilitate the development, production, evaluation and monitoring of all components of the “customer value chain”.
Ensure the accuracy of reports through appropriate checking and validation. You’ll initiate the development and maintenance of said reporting using appropriate tools.
Analyse and interpret complex information in line with business requirements.
Continually identify areas for business improvement and makes recommendations for their implementation.
Communicate to the business on portfolio performance.
Assist in the upkeep of documentation of the relevant NPV models and components of the “value chain”.
Facilitate effective communication within and between your own team and other functions.
As Senior Commercial Analyst, you will have analytical experience from a commercial business where you will have used SAS/SQL/SPSS and will therefore have a good understanding of reporting and writing code queries from scratch. You will be proficient in Excel and comfortable in being proactive and taking the initiative.
