The Business Protection Team is part of Finance structure and provides proactive support to mitigate operational risk and reduce losses to help maximise profits. The Team focus on the provision of Insight, Assurance and Innovation whilst Protecting our brand, customers and colleagues from crime and the threat of crime.
The role of the BI Analyst is to maintain the integrity of the MI Process with detailed review and data cleansing to ensure all data and reports are accurate, current, complete and consistent. Acting as collation specialist, you will support the review processes by suggesting and implementing improvements and solutions.
They will be responsible for providing general advice and analysis to internal business customers and develop overall business knowledge to facilitate the function and ensure reports are completed within the specified requirements and the agreed SLAs and ensure the requestor understands any limitations.
More about the role:
Responsible for managing relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
To continually improve operational reports and dashboards used by the Business Protection Team to drive insight and solutions to minimise risk and reduce end to end stock losses to enhance customer satisfaction
To support the Business Protection team to deliver improvements or creation of reports and dashboards by providing an initial design and iterating existing solutions
To explore most effective ways of reporting data to make it easily interpreted by a diverse population of users
To continuously review usage level and understanding of reports and identify need for re-training or opportunities for rationalisation
To understand generic BI capabilities (databases, visualisation, self-service) and their applicability to support the different teams.
More About you:
Deep understanding of systems, reporting, visualisation and analytical tools (Power BI, Visual Basic)
Knowledge of SQL including SSIS and SSRS.
Strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills
Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner
Strong analytical skills, Excel & Power point skills and attention to detail
Track record of value creation
