Digital Graduate Scheme

Retail Reinvented

Drive the digital revolution. One innovation at a time.

Argos.co.uk is one of the biggest sites out there. Last year, we were visited over 900 million times and generated more than £2 billion in revenue. Over the Christmas period, we were visited 4 million times a day (equivalent to 46 visits every second). We’re also on 6 million app downloads…and counting.

So life moves fast here. On this two-year scheme, you’ll discover just how exciting it can be. Whether you’re analysing data or trading our digital channels, you’ll use your commercial acumen to ensure we’re hitting our ambitious targets. You’ll also play a key role in evolving the online experience of our customers.

You’ll also work with a truly innovative team that’s helped Argos win the coveted Retail Week Multichannel Retailer of the Year Award. So we’re looking for candidates with a real passion for both retail and technology.

What we offer

We have two different graduate schemes available. In both, you will be given the opportunity have a real impact on the future of Argos’s digital marketing and trading.

Digital Analytics

Based in our Digital Intelligence Team, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop emerging digital analysis skills and knowledge of tools in the industry.

It’s not just about reporting and endless spreadsheets. Far from it. We’re a creative bunch, mixing top class digital analytics, data visualisation and communication with infectious personalities that enable us to create compelling action-led stories based on data and insight. We’re looking for somebody that can get to grips with something unfamiliar, logically understand it and creatively transform it into something that anybody can understand.

Equipped with at least a 2:1, you’ll ideally have a degree in marketing research, engineering, economics or maths.

Digital Trading

Working in our Digital Trading Team, you’ll join our FastTrack Management scheme and be responsible for our digital shop window – handling everything from promotional activities to new product launches and working with some of the biggest brands out there like FitBit, Sony Playstation, Xbox, Apple, Nespresso and many more.

Online retail is incredibly fast moving, and it will be down to you to ensure we continually stay ahead of the curve. That’s why you’ll become an expert in a particular category. By fully understanding the products and target audiences, you’ll create an effective strategy for delivering our sales margins and digital metric targets.

Equipped with at least a 2:1 degree, you’ll ideally have a degree in digital marketing, business or marketing.

What our people say

“There’s a big digital transformation going on at Argos. In my role, I work with creative, content, analytics and category teams to deliver promotional initiatives across our digital channels. It’s exciting, stimulating work. There’s a lot of pressure, but I’m always learning something new.”

Samir – Digital Implementation Executive

“My favourite part of working for Argos is that there are so many opportunities. You get stuck into projects from day one, and in such a fast-paced environment you develop and learn new skills really quickly. Plus, working for such a large company means you have access to loads of resources and courses to help you progress your personal development – and this is really encouraged throughout the business.”

Chloe – Digital Graduate

“The advice I would give to someone that is thinking about applying is…do it! Aside from that my main advice is just be willing to learn. You get a lot of new information and have to learn so many different things in the first couple of months of joining, so it is important that someone is willing to step up to the challenge and take on something completely different and jump into the world of work.

Also, don’t feel like you need to be serious all the time. Part of the fun of working at Argos is that you can have a laugh and have fun while doing your work – it’s not all about heads down, get on with it (although when you have a lot on this might be wise!)”
