I’m head of the team that publishes the Argos catalogue each year. We create and manage a lot of other content too, but it was the chance to work on the iconic Argos catalogue that actually drew me here. It’s genuinely rewarding to be able to contribute to something so well known and respected. The other great thing about the role is the variety: I work with so many different people inside and outside the company – everyone from the Marketing and Trading teams to the digital photographic studio here in Milton Keynes.
“I’m proud of my role and where I’ve got to, but I get amazing opportunities to develop and progress too. We’re all part of the Super 8 scheme, which ensures we get eight hours of personal development time. And we also have one-to-one sessions with our line managers to plan out our development paths. In my case, I’m about to start a part-time master’s degree in business.”
“I’m optimistic about the future at Argos. It’s our aim to become a leading digital retailer, and it’s not just hot air either. We have a lot of exciting changes under way, and there’s real momentum behind the plan. People are taking notice too: our customers and our competitors are already starting to see us as major players in digital retail.”
