As Conduct and Compliance Consultant, you will be part of the 2nd line Risk function where you will support the drafting of policies, collaborate with business stakeholders to agree minimum standards and develop policy standard embedding plans. You will identify external regulatory change, help to assess the impact on the business and communicate this effectively to key stakeholders.

As Conduct and Compliance Consultant, you will:
Support the drafting of Policy and Policy Standards and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to agree content, minimum standards and controls.
Create and execute plans to embed the policies. This will involve extensive collaboration with the business and helping to facilitate change.
Provide advice and guidance to the business on the application of policy to their business areas and on the adequate implementation of controls.
Be responsible for undertaking daily horizon scanning activity to identify areas of regulatory change that may impact the business. Maintain records of changes identified and provide oversight to the 1st line to ensure relevant changes are properly defined and implemented to ensure we remain compliant.
Impact assess proposed developments to ensure a proper cascade of relevant changes to key internal stakeholders in the 1st line, Executive, Senior Management Teams and Extended Leadership Group as appropriate.
Provide regular reporting to the various internal Committees on key issues, internal and external developments.
Support the collation of information for reporting to the regulators, primarily the FCA.
Deputise for the Head of Conduct and Compliance where appropriate for governance meetings or forums, including external industry body forums.
Undertake deeper analysis where required on specific regulatory requirements to support the business as required and liaise with stakeholders.
Provide support for the business in the conduct and compliance risk assessment of internal change, or issues arising, and provide oversight that controls are adequate.
As Conduct and Compliance Consultant, you will have:
A minimum of 4 years or more industry experience in a compliance, risk or internal audit role.
Experience in an FCA-regulated financial services organisation, working with conduct risk methodology, frameworks and strategies.
Detailed and broad understanding of the financial services regulatory requirements, predominately the FCA Handbook.
A proven track record of working on your own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role and the wider team.
The ability to work closely with others to deliver results.
Excellent written communication including ability to provide accurate, informative and concise management reports.
Exceptional communication skills to translate complex or technical issues to meet the audience's competency level.
Good organisational and prioritisation skills to work in line with tight deadlines and effectively under pressure.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
