Process Risk Manager

As Process Risk Manager, you’ll support the delivery of the Sainsbury’s Bank Argos Financial Services (SBAFS) Operational Risk Framework within AFS. You’ll be accountable for supporting the direction of the quality of the relevant Division’s ongoing Operational Risk Management Activities; ensuring that Operational Risks are fully and rigorously identified and assessed via the Process Risk & Control Assessment (PRCA) methodology, and reported in line with the SBAFS risk management framework and risk appetite. You’ll also be accountable for the management of the AFS response to Risk Events, ensuring that the risk data on the ORMS (Operational Risk Management System) is of the highest quality, aligned to Enterprise Risk expectations.

As Process Risk Manager you will -

Develop the process universe, aligned to the SBAFS capability model, to ensure clear understanding of process ownership and PRCA responsibility
Deliver a Root Cause Analysis exercise, using PRCA, of each trigger event in line with the Enterprise Risk methodology
Create action/treatment plan for control fixing activity to return residual risk to within appetite, informing stakeholders/accountable Exec on progress of treatment plan delivery, as appropriate
Act as the conduit for potential Risk Event submissions from the business, undertaking analysis of individual events and co-ordinate treatment plan completion
Provide proactive guidance and training to the AFS division on the Operational Risk Framework and their roles and responsibilities associated with adhering to it
Work with key stakeholders across AFS to embed a culture of decision making where operational risk and control management principles are front of mind
Attend the division’s meetings to provide guidance, support and challenge to decisions against business appetite

As Process Risk Manager you will have -

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to share and articulate information at all levels
Experience of working within a Financial Services environment
The ability to create and maintain effective Stakeholder Management relationships
Experience of operational risk management, working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies
High attention to detail and organisation
Strong analytical skills
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft package; Word, Excel & PowerPoint
