As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will support the Argos Financial Services store card business within the area of credit strategy. You will assist in the monitoring, evaluating, communicating, testing and reporting on all aspects of the credit strategies and scorecard/decision systems associated with this discipline.
You will have a direct impact on our customers as you will develop, implement and monitor the Credit Risk Strategies as well as respond to customer queries via the operational departments on all areas of the credit lifecycle. In this role, you’ll report into a Credit Risk Manager. As our business changes & expands, we are looking for someone with a desire to take their first step into a management role.

As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will:
Facilitate the development, production, evaluation and monitoring of the relevant strategies and scorecard/decision systems.
Ensure the accuracy of reports through appropriate checking and validation.
Initiate the development and maintenance of reporting using appropriate tools.
Analyse and interpret complex information in line with business requirements.
Continually identify areas for business improvement and makes recommendations for their implementation.
Administer and undertake the implementation and testing of new strategies/scorecard/decision systems.
Assist in the upkeep of documentation of the relevant strategies and scorecard/decision systems.
Facilitate effective communication within and between your own team and other functions.
Act as mentor to your team members.
As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will have:
Previous credit risk experience, preferably within a retail or credit card organisation.
Proven experience of SAS, SQL or SPSS programming.
Proficiency in Excel.
Experience of involvement in projects.
A good commercial awareness.
Good communication skills.
Excellent planning and organisational skills, with an ability to balance a large range of priorities.
The ability to work on your own initiative, in a fast-paced, changing environment.
The ability to access information from a variety of sources and accurately interpret results of reports produced, making recommendations for change.
