The main purpose of this role is to ensure the successful day to day trading of owned categories through site merchandising and optimisation of customer journey. You will work closely with Commercial and Marketing colleagues to ensure short term actions are taken and also to feed in to weekly and period reporting requirements.
You will lead a team of Digital Trading Executives to deliver successful commercial results through optimisation of the digital customer experience, driven by analytics and targeting sales, conversion and digital participation. Translating the category strategies into a detailed 6-9 month digital category plan, and ensuring successful delivery of this plan across the digital channels.
Delivery successful results through smart digital trading of key category priorities and optimisation of the customer experience.
Lead digital projects that will grow the performance of your categories, ensuring all requirements are fed in, planned and delivered on time.
Use analytics and customer insight to inform category plans and feed into continuous improvement plan of your areas.
Lead, coach and develop your team of Digital Trading Executives ensuring they are meeting daily targets across Sales/Conversion/Participation.
Work collaboratively with the Digital Trading Lead to understand the Digital Trading Strategy for the coming year. Create category plans to align with the trading strategy and contribute to its success.
You will need
Solid experience working in a Digital role within a retail organisation
Direct team management experience of 1 person
Ability to demonstrate a clear customer focus in all aspects of role
Excellent communication skills, and comfortable presenting to diverse audiences
A sense of the market in which we operate; a good holistic understanding of the Digital landscape and wider retail environment
