The eCommerce Digital Production Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Argos Digital Implementation team accountable for building and implementing content across the Argos digital touchpoints (including websites, mobile and in-store browsers), creating the optimal customer shopping experience. Working alongside Digital Trading and Marketing teams the Production Manager will be accountable for ensuring the customers receive accurate and up-to-date information while maintaining a high level of quality. The position will be responsible for surfacing and signposting promotional, educational and inspirational content, ultimately supporting our customers to navigate thousands of products across multiple digital channels and devices. Helping and inspiring our customers to find what they want when they want it. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, excellent communication, project management/ process optimisation skills, and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to manage, communicate and deliver an on brand, best in class customer shopping experience for a range of product categories.
Lead a team of Digital Implementation Managers & Digital Implementation Executives, responsible for the creation and deployment of digital content across all Argos digital channels.
Develop strong networks with key stakeholder teams and individuals (both within and outside of the Digital function).
KEY RESULT AREAS
This is a senior leadership role with lots of stakeholders therefore strong ways of working within Digital Trading & Content Teams as well as wider business functions are required to enable a smooth delivery of Digital Implementation requirements.
Establish and maintain robust ways of working and processes that deliver against agreed targets and metrics, ensuring excellent communication channels are in place.
Act as a lead for large digital events and campaigns e.g. Black Friday, Sale, New Range Launch, taking responsibility for the implementation of content across digital channels.
TEAM MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP
Lead, coach & develop a team of Digital Implementation Managers & Digital Implementation Executives (on average 14 people), ensuring they understand the overall digital strategy along with their part in achieving the strategy.
Ensure appropriate training needs are identified to support the development of team individuals and processes.
Recruit and retain a highly skilled team. Ensure an appropriate ‘pipe line’ of talent and succession plan is established.
Senior member of the Digital team – responsible for influencing other teams to ensure team requirements are fed into overall Digital plan.
YOU SHOULD HAVE:
Extensive experience working in a senior Digital role within a retail organisation.
Experience with content management systems
Team management experience of a team of 4+ people, including management level direct reports.
Ability to demonstrate a clear customer focus in all aspects of role.
The capacity to lead, influence and encourage others to think differently
Firm understanding of creative production processes
A clear sense of the market in which we operate; a good holistic understanding of the Digital landscape and wider retail environment.
Energetic with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed
DIMENSIONS (FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY)
No direct responsibilities for cost budgets. However, budget may need to be sought by other teams to facilitate some projects.
Needs to be aware of financial impacts of decisions and to ensure risks & opportunities are mitigated / flagged to budget holder.
May be delegated ownership of budgets related to specific projects.

Operating across the full breadth of Argos Digital teams along with significant stakeholder management across wider business functions the job holder is required to communicate the digital plans and priorities, ensuring key requirements are understood and acted on.
Effective communication, influencing and relationship building will be key to success.
Responsible for the effective implementation of key projects within the digital trading team.

Experience of meaningful engagements; you’ll have incredible communication skills, and be comfortable presenting to diverse audiences.
Needs to be capable of influencing to a senior level and director level across the wider Commercial, Digital and Marketing Teams.

Able to build relationships & effectively influence external agencies & organisations up to director management level.
Expected to represent digital trading (and on occasions the wider Digital Operations team) and partake and contribute in a variety of forums and meetings often with senior stakeholders
