The Business Protection Team is part of our Finance structure and provides proactive support to mitigate operational risk and reduce losses to help maximise profits. The Team focus on the provision of Insight, Assurance and Innovation whilst Protecting our brand, customers and colleagues from crime and the threat of crime. The Collation team is responsible for the development and maintenance of both financial and commercial reporting to drive improved quality decision making and provide insight to the wider Business Protection team to support effective solutions to reduce /mitigate risk and maximise business profit.
The Inform team is responsible for the development and maintenance of both financial and commercial reporting to drive improved quality decision making and provide insight to the wider Business Protection team to support effective solutions to reduce /mitigate risk and maximise business profit.
The role of the Insights Analyst/Manager is to be the subject matter expert in the collation of information from multiple data points, including internal and external sources. The role holder must have the ability to interpret and communicate the reports in a suitable business format that focuses on loss events and enables partners to take mitigating action. They will lead the analytics capability within the wider Business Protection Team, coaching and mentoring new and innovative methods for data analysis and generating efficiencies in processes. They will deputise for the Inform manager in periods of absence.
What I need to do:
Support the Senior Management Team and the Inform Manager to provide insightful analytical approach to the provision of, assurance and identification of risk.
As the subject matter expert, identify and implement internal & external best practices to enhance process efficiency and quality of Analytics outputs including:
Delivering financial/commercial analytical tools in collaboration with partners to improve business insight which enables us to minimise operational risk.
To use tools and information provided to lead effective risk focussed change
To support the Informa Manager with the application of a “loss lens” to business change projects
Driving a continuous improvement and agile culture to ensure analysis and reporting meets all business needs
Lead the development of insights which drive productive action / improved business performance.
To lead ad-hoc analytical investigations in support of business priorities.
Understand and interpret requirements to deliver a clear concise answer to questions from the leadership when required.
To identify ongoing business reporting requirements either as part of an investigation or other business trends.
Make best use of business information to help predict risk trends to develop responses that provide insight.
To initiate contact with a wide range of stakeholders to understand emerging business issues and reporting requirements
To propose insightful solutions to business wide issues and influence their adoption

What I need to know:
