As Senior Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will support the Group Head of Compliance Monitoring to ensure that the business, retail partners and third party suppliers’ policies, processes and controls meet internal and regulatory requirements set by the FCA and other regulators. You will ensure that all policies, processes and controls are robust enough to mitigate associated regulatory and conduct risks.
Please note that there is scope for this role to be based from our Bolton or Widnes locations.

As Senior Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will:
Be responsible for leading the effective design and timely delivery of a robust Compliance Monitoring Plan that assesses and reports on the effectiveness of business systems and controls.
Provide assurance of whether the systems and controls are adequate to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate conduct risks within the business to deliver fair customer outcomes.
Be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of monitoring activities, including corrective actions, regulatory impacts and for the design and communications of compliance monitoring policy, processes and procedures.
Control and oversee the preparation, documentation, testing and reporting of all monitoring activity conducted by the AFS Compliance Monitoring team (including the tracking and closing of actions).
Regularly review compliance monitoring procedures to ensure these reflect processes being operated.
Display energy, enthusiasm and drive towards managing and developing the Compliance Monitoring team and all areas of this role, whilst maintaining organised, accurate and timely reporting.
Aid and support to Conduct, Compliance & Financial Crime management in relation to regular reporting and other ad-hoc tasks as necessary.
As Senior Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will have:
Extensive Financial Services experience in a compliance, risk or internal audit role.
Experience in a FCA regulated organisation and/or ‘big 4’ (or similar) consultancy.
Detailed working knowledge of regulatory requirements such as PRA and FCA Handbooks, ICO, Ofcom, Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), and Payment Card Industry (PCI), Consumer Credit Act (CCA) and Anti Bribery & Corruption, along with up-to-date knowledge of regulatory risk developments and industry best practices.
Experience of reviewing or auditing a variety of operational and system-based activities within finance, conduct risk, commercial, regulatory and corporate governance using professional auditing or compliance monitoring principles.
Wide-ranging experience of risk based monitoring and compliance testing.
Experience in building a risk-based compliance monitoring plan (i.e. annual monitoring plan and monitoring methodology).
Strong knowledge and practical experience of risk methodology, frameworks, policies and procedures.
Experience of line management and coaching.
Strong stakeholder management skills, coupled with the ability to advise and influence senior members of the Management and Executive Teams.
Experience of presenting to boards, committees and management on risk issues.
