As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in your store’s success. The role is challenging and has plenty of variety; you can find yourself doing anything from deputising for the Store Manager, to coaching and developing your team, to reviewing in-store activity and of course ensuring our customers are well looked after.
This role is in one of our new ‘Store-in-Stores’ inside Sainsbury’s. These new formats are stunning and you’ll certainly be busy but whilst supporting the Store Manager, you’ll have team leaders and many customer advisors to help you ensure the shopping experience is as easy as possible for all your customers.
To be up for this challenge you’ll;
Have recent retail management experience in a fast-paced environment
Be passionate about delivering a fantastic customer experience
Have first class leadership skills
Have demonstrable experience of working towards performance targets
Be highly-organised, always planning for any eventuality
Be approachable, always keen to support and develop others

Stock control experience would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided
