As Compliance Policy and Advice Manager, you will support the Head of Policy & Advice and the Senior Policy & Advice Manager by supporting our first line team to identify and manage their conduct and compliance risks. This includes the provision of support, oversight and challenge in respect of BAU activity and change projects. You will work closely with business stakeholders and will provide impeccable technical advice and guidance around regulatory requirements, and more formal oversight and challenge through the provision of internal reporting to the Senior Manager.

As Compliance Policy and Advice Manager, you will:
Support the implementation of the conduct strategy and of the Conduct Risk Policy Framework through engagement, communication and embedding plans.
Work with the first line to develop strategies and an embedding strategy for each policy to achieve compliance with control requirements.
Provide expertise and support to embed appropriate risk disciplines within the first line.
Maintain organised, accurate and timely reporting when required.
Assist the Head of Compliance Policy & Advice and the Senior Policy & Advice Manager to provide regulatory advice, guidance and oversight for the delivery of internal business initiatives and externally driven regulatory change.
Provide regulatory guidance and support on projects and issues to ensure effective identification and management of conduct risk, in line with FCA regulation.
Maintain update to date knowledge in respect of UK regulations (and appropriate European regulations).
Provide compliance and conduct advice on queries and developments and provide challenge to business proposals in advance of presentation to committees.
As Compliance Policy and Advice Manager, you will have:
Proven experience in a compliance, risk or internal audit role.
Experience in an FCA-regulated financial services organisation or ‘Big 4’ consultancy.
A high level of expertise in understanding regulations, such FCA Handbooks, ICO, Ofcom, Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), and Payment Card Industry (PCI), Consumer Credit Act (CCA) and Anti Bribery & Corruption.
Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory risk developments and an awareness of industry best practices.
Experience of operating in an advisory capacity to support a business to achieve regulatory compliance.
Experience of working with conduct risk methodology, frameworks and strategies.
The ability to exercise influence and persuasion to secure appropriate customer outcomes.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with strong relationship management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve business goals.
Experience of presenting to peers and senior stakeholders on risk issues.
Excellent time management skills required to prioritise a varied workload.
