As a Supply Development Business Analyst, you will:
Work collaboratively with fellow Supply Development Business Analysts, you will play a significant role in the “idea” generation and “think tank” culture we are looking to drive at Sainsbury’s Argos – through exploratory conversations, market research etc.
Demonstrate curiosity, and the desire to understand the future strategic direction of the Sainsbury’s Argos business, utilising your skills and autonomy to identify future needs and areas of opportunity in relation to new technology and software systems.
You need to have an excellent outward focus on the “mega trends” and advancements within the technology/digital sector, seeking to remain “on-top” of the latest thinking – with an ability to ascertain where opportunities reside for adoption within the processes we have.
At pace, you need to be able to research and gain an appreciation of the current technology we utilise to execute our current set of operations, to then inform how it can be evolved further to drive a real step change in Supply Chain efficiency and accuracy.
Seek to operate across the Sainsbury’s Argos supply chain and look to contribute and input into the strategic agenda for Sainsbury’s Argos Supply Chain. Touch points will vary from operational functional teams, strategic business forums to external third parties.
You’ll need to formulate hypotheses and tests (within various model frameworks), analysing the results and determine if an opportunity exists within the chosen area – this will mean conducting analysis and evaluation in isolation.
You’ll need to “write up” and document your findings appropriately, formulating clear recommendations ready for handover to project teams who will then look to define routes to production.
