We use this information to better understand our customers and the role we play in their lives in order to drive additional customer and business value. Our Customer and Market Insight team is at the heart of this. They look both internally and externally to provide insight into various teams across Argos, informing key decisions and priorities at both an operational and strategic level. And, right now our Customer Insight Team is on the hunt for a Data Analytics Manager to join the business.

The Customer Insight team’s objective is to use our customer data to drive insight to inform decision-making and measure success at a strategic level. They will consider how customers shop across the Argos estate, our physical and digital channels and over all our propositions and how this is changing over time, identifying patterns which will allow us to act to drive further value. The Data Analytics Manager will lead and develop this team with the objective of understanding how customers shop with us today, how that is changing, identify opportunities and feed that insight into teams across the business.

About you

The person taking the role will need to be comfortable with using multiple analytical techniques to answer ambiguous questions in a forensic manner, uncovering trends and patterns that may or may be as expected. They will need to communicate often highly complex topics to senior stakeholders in a highly credible way. You will work closely will also work closely with various business functions including Digital, Store Operations and Commercial teams across Argos and the Sainsbury’s Group.

You will need to be comfortable with using multiple analytical techniques to answer ambiguous questions in a forensic manner, uncovering trends and patterns that may or may not be expected. It is essential that you have good hands on knowledge working with SQL for data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
