In a nutshell…

An exciting opportunity to lead change and add value across Sainsbury’s Argos supply chain by identifying end to end opportunities to optimise the supply chain operation. This dynamic, project based role will allow you to put your own mark on the role and help drive the business forward.

As an Operations Development Lead you will be:

Establishing and reinforcing best practice within Sainsbury’s Argos Non-Food Trading teams & suppliers in order to minimise instances of product and data non-compliance, thereby reducing delays to product shipment and rework costs and increasing availability to customers.
Managing supplier compliance for all Non-Food Domestic and European based suppliers, and engaging and working with Sainsbury’s Argos Asia and support them in managing compliance for Sainsbury’s Argos Asia suppliers
Enabling the successful and efficient operation of our Supply Chain and Logistic Network by refining and improving processes and delivering deep and sustainable change
Act as a direct link between Regional Depot compliance teams and trading colleagues to communicate issues and manage change.
Supporting the delivery and ongoing development of supplier facing systems. Engage, train and support suppliers and colleagues to use our systems correctly
Continually improving existing processes to remove cost out of the Supply Chain

As an Operations Development Lead your experience will include:

Project management skills – ability to own and lead a project end to end
Ability to engage, influence and coach colleagues
Comfortable delivering training and presentations to an audience
Ability to co-ordinate and liaise effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, suppliers and sourcing offices
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Understanding of processes & systems associated with Product Compliance & QA Inspection
