Within the Sainsbury’s Argos Commercial function, we are looking for two Commercial Synergy Assistants to join the team. These roles are vital in supporting the Commercial Synergy Manager to plan and deliver wider business initiatives and will champion synergy delivery across the business and provide support to key stakeholders across Commercial Trading teams.
This is a brand-new role to the business, as, Sainsbury’s is committed to delivering significant Commercial synergies, as identified as part of the Argos acquisition case.
What will you be doing?
Assist the Commercial Synergy Manager & Commercial Synergy Controller in identifying & delivering wider synergy opportunities across the Commercial function
Support in the preparation of meetings, ensuring rooms are booked, invites are sent, and rooms are set up to requirements, prepare and distribute meeting minutes as appropriate
Support in the creation and ongoing maintenance & distribution of key documents
Collate updates from Commercial teams and make sound judgements on escalating identified risks
Support the impact analysis of product-level decisions on broader business initiatives
Work with relevant cross-functional stakeholders to help to deliver synergy opportunities
Work closely with the Product Synergy team to support the progress of identified initiatives
What I need to know?
Previous experience in a Commercial environment
Experience of managing complex processes involving large amounts of information and multiple stakeholders
Proven ability of stakeholder engagement
Understanding of internal business structures and cross functional dependencies of each division
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong Office, Excel, Power Point and Word skills
