Argos is in the process of growing our testing services and we’re looking for experienced Business Test Analysts to join us on this journey based in our offices in Milton Keynes (MK9 2AW).
You will be involved in exciting and challenging work streams across Retail Stores, Home Delivery and Customer Services where you will be engaging with our developers and product owners across the organisation (occasional travel is required) to QA software solutions.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with our highly skilled team to help shape our services to the business and develop skills across several testing tools and technologies.
Business Test Analyst – the role;
Support the Task Manager to deliver a full testing service, working closely with key stakeholders to meet business requirements
You will be responsible for the daily testing and management of all content changes that are ready for business test.
You will be administering defects, creating test scripts, writing up defects and ensuring all test scripts are correct at all times
Contribute towards continuous improvement of the testing framework
Responsible for working with multiple third party test service providers and testing at their UK site when required
Produce and report out test metrics
Assist in the creation and sign off of robust test plans to ensure quality is maintained
To understand and build SME knowledge in business and test processes
Occasional requirement to lead small-medium sized work streams which will involve leading 1 or more team members to achieve pre-defined plans.
The role holder will be required to work autonomously being able to make key testing decisions independently with sound rationale and judgement. This will also include owning and agreeing the scheduling of their work patterns to align to the most effective and efficient test plan.
Business Test Analyst – the person;
You will have proven (2years) experience working in a similar role and have full understanding of;
the software testing life cycle
defect management tools
front end usability testing
various types of testing techniques and methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
Having experience in the following is desired but not essential (training will be provided);
Working experience within Retail/Financial Services/Customer Services/Home Delivery
Experience in development and implementation of automation frameworks and scripting
Test/Defect Management tools i.e. JIRA, Test Rail
In addition to the above, you will require excellent organisation and communication skills, along with exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
