Merchandising is all about getting the right stock in the right stores at the right times. This Junior Merchandiser vacancy is working within our Projects team, helping to enhance the successful roll out of Argos store in stores!
This is a great opportunity for a Junior Merchandiser to increase their experience working on a key project for the business.
You will play a vital part in reviewing the GM strategy for store and set targets for future stores sales and profitability during their rollout.
What you need to do
Review processes to ensure sales, stock holding, margin and availability is optimised.
Work with the SRT team to review store in store rollout and identify opportunities for improvement and to minimise markdown.
To monitor margin performance to ensure GM profitability targets are achieved.
With the assistance of an administrator ensure the timely set up and actioning of any required markdown ensuring attention to detail on the impacted lines.
Conduct regular store visits and build relationships with the retail team, gaining a commercial awareness of the impact of the store in store rollout.
Work with the range planning team to analysis space variance year on year and impact.
Ensure team activity is legal and compliant, and that any team members are trained to understand their obligations under competition law and ethical training.
To act as a coach by managing the Merchandise Admin Assistant, regularly assessing individuals’ performance and giving feedback where appropriate.
What you need to know
Understanding of commercial issues, previous Merchandising experience required.
Ability to deliver results to target as an individual and within a team.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving dynamic retail environment.
Confidence to influence and engage, building relationships with key stakeholders.
