As Cost Reporting Analyst, your role will be to fully support the Cost Manager, manage and report on the costs for the storecard business, prepare periodic reports and ad-hoc project work as it raises. You would also work closely with the Operations teams to deliver OE targets, support with cost challenges, reconcile headcount to capacity plans and any ad-hoc models required.
As Cost Reporting Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:
Report on the costs of all storecard operations
Provide a monthly high level overview of costs to the Ops Forum, including the Operational Director
Facilitate monthly cost review meeting with third party supplier relationship managers and functional areas (e.g. marketing, capacity planning)
Produce FS Retail balance sheet reconciliations and Statutory Reporting on a monthly basis, including, accruals, prepayments, etc
To prepare and review periodic results for storecard costs to understand and explain vacancies to forecast / last year as part of monthly period end P&L review
To review existing models and processes, continually seeking to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Ad hoc project work as required. Ensuring tasks allocated are completed to require timescales and progress is regularly updated to Cost Manager and FS Financial Controller
Your skills & experience will include:
Part qualified accountant
Systems experience and aptitude
Confident and capable of challenging stakeholders
Experience within a finance environment
Ability to communicate and influence well with business users, both finance and non-finance
Ability to analyse and reconcile differences to pro-actively understand / correct reporting as required
Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships to drive a proactive, collaborative approach to cost management
