Sainsbury’s Store Replenishment Team currently have exciting opportunity for a Junior Branch Merchandiser to join their busy team. This role will be based at the Sainsbury’s head office in Ansty Park Coventry, Full Time.
Your role will be too plan and deliver agreed stock parameters to Sainsbury’s stores and Online in order to successfully achieve sales, profit, margin and stock targets in an Omni-channel retail operation whilst delivering great service and availability to store colleagues. Manage the flow of stock from depots to stores in line with agreed stock parameters for the Division, to ensure we have the right stock, in the right stores at the right time.
What will you be doing?
Manage stock flows across the business, supporting Non-Food Trading teams
With guidance from Multi-Channel Replenishment Planner, build relationships and work effectively with the Merchandising teams, Retail , Online and Supply team to plan and manage the stock flow for all new lines, events and promotions to ensure on-time launches, as well as replenishment and exit strategies, to optimise availability, sales and minimise markdown.
Work with the merchandising team to review weekly trading performance on KPIs and to identify stock issues / opportunities with emphasis on timely resolution.
With guidance from Multi-Channel Replenishment Planner, control the delivery of options into stores within planned space with Merchandising, Buying and Range planning to deliver customer choice, drive sales and maximise trade intensity.
With guidance from Multi-Channel Replenishment Planner, plan, execute and measure stock builds for new stores, extensions and refurbishments, managing and implement store grade changes, providing store analysis.
Provide outbound volume forecast for the Supply team / DC’s.
With guidance from Multi-Channel Replenishment Planner, sign off / review all replenishment and allocation parameters to ensure Corporate and local markdown is minimised whilst maximising sales, stocks and availability targets.
To monitor and manage the clearance of old DD/ markdown stock through the business by working with Retail, Supply chain and Merchandising.
Support store requests where commercially viable and respond in a timely manner.
Accountable for pre agreed Store availability targets.
Produce all reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to report on, and analyse store sales, stock and availability at line, size level, and to manage store performance reviews with Retail.
Champion and represent the team across the business
To input into and support the development and implementation of department strategies
To input into and support any improvements or enhancements to allocation and replenishment systems / process.
To actively support the Business Transformation team and feed into requirements for any future allocation and replenishment system.
Conduct regular store visits and build relationships with the retail team, gaining operational knowledge and awareness of how SRT can support.
Embracing change - taking a proactive approach to supporting adoption of new ways of working in Non -food and role modelling the Sainsbury’s values.
Manage the team
To act as a coach by managing the SRT assistants, regularly assessing individuals’ performance and giving feedback where appropriate in periodic 1-2-1’s
Ideally you will have ….
an understanding of commercial issues, previous Merchandising / allocation and replenishment experience required preferably within a Non-food Omni-channel retail environment
technical knowledge of merchandising & planning systems
the ability to deliver results to target as an individual and within a team
the ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving dynamic retail environment
confidence to influence and engage, building relationships with key stakeholders
effective communication skills, presenter, and team player
product, market and customer knowledge
a tenacity to overcome people or process obstacles.
computer literate, Systems knowledge especially Excel and MS office.
