As a Credit Risk Manager (Collections) you will lead a team of analysts developing and maintaining Pre-arrears and Collections strategies for Argos Financial Services. You will be managing delinquency and bad debt loses whilst positively impacting the overall profitability and security of the store card business through the effective deployment of strategies, robust analytics, oversight and performance management.

As Credit Risk Manager (Collections) you will:
Develop and maintain Pre-Arrears and Collections strategies with a clear emphasis on compliance, profitability and maintaining an ethos of continuous improvement.
Monitor, evaluate and analyse all aspects of the strategies and will clearly communicate results, conclusions and recommendations for improvements to senior management.
Use data mining techniques, profitability analysis and champion/challenger testing to refine and optimize Collections and Recovery processes and strategies.
Ensure that appropriate reporting, together with guardrails, is in place to monitor the effectiveness of strategies and flag issues appropriately.
Identify and effectively manage risks and opportunities.
Manage and create a motivated, effective and high performing team, identifying and facilitating a positive learning environment that creates opportunities and result for team members.
As Credit Risk Manager (Collections) you will have:
Collections/Recoveries experience with a Retail finance, Banking or credit card provider environment.
Experience of strategy creation, analysis and management.
Proven strong data interpretation and analytical skills including data manipulation, analysis and the ability to present the findings in a simple format to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience of working with (storing, querying and manipulating) large data sets through various technical applications such as SQL and SAS.
Industry knowledge of Credit Risk practices.
