The Analytics Finance team leads the development of strategic financial/commercial analytical tools in collaboration with non-finance partners to drive better quality business insight which enables the business to make quicker, more effective decisions that can enhance performance across all areas of the business.
As Analytics Development Manager, you will own the delivery and continuous improvement of financial and commercial analytical tools to drive better quality and business insight. This involves leading the analytics capability within the wider Finance team teaching new and innovative methods for data analysis and generating efficiencies in processes. You will lead a team and establish a performance culture motivating and developing colleagues within the Analytics department.
As Analytics Development Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
Lead the delivery of Finance improvement initiatives and implementation of internal & external best practices to enhance process efficiency and quality of Analytics outputs.
Deliver strategic financial/commercial analytical tools in collaboration with non-finance partners to drive better quality business insight which enables the business to make quicker, more effective decisions
Using the tools and information provided to lead the change from a financial perspective to ensure business initiatives are implemented as quickly and effectively as possible.
Liaising with various functions applying great commercial and operational understanding to support the initiative in area.
Driving a reporting and analysis culture of what great can look like across all our finance teams, whilst increasing systems and database knowledge and showcasing how to do it. This will include driving more efficient reporting within the reporting team.
Drive profitability of the business through developing, maintaining and utilising a cost to serve model in order to help implement operational and commercial improvements whilst working with business partners to embed the change throughout the organisation.
Responsible for leading, inspiring and developing a small, professional team.
Your skills & experience will include:
Deep understanding of financial database, reporting, visualisation and analytical tools
Strong knowledge of SQL including SSIS and SSRS
Strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills
Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner
Well developed inter-personal skills and confident in influencing stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with excellent Excel & Powerpoint knowledge.
Sound coaching, team leadership and development skills.
