Within Sainsbury’s Commercial Planning, we want to excite our customer with our store events. Whether that’s offering the perfect Halloween outfit or an amazing special offer, for us it’s not just about products on a shelf, we want our ranges to entice and excite as well.
That’s where you come in. We need a Promotions Space Planner work alongside our Business Partners to manage and create the delivery of non-food events and promotional plans that our customers won’t be able to resist. You’ll have a commercial edge but overall a real passion for delighting our customers.
You’ll be working closing with teams across the business including Marketing, Buying and Merchandising to advise and execute in store events and secondary display space. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with ability to plan and prioritise are key to the success of this role.
Responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of nominated Non-Food events and secondary space in conjunction with multiple stakeholders
Drive commercials and make recommendations
To input into and support the development and implementation of Business Planning strategies
Create and maintain all related documents e.g. Plinth advice & line lists
Ensure all activity is communicated effectively and accurately to stores
Conduct regular store visits, competitor visits and gathering data insights
Support Business Planner with project work
Work with Central Marketing team to ensure the customer is at the heart of everything
Skills and experience:
Ability to effectively engage and work across multiple stakeholders including Buying and Merchandising, as well as managing multiple events at one time
Interest in retail with consumer and market knowledge
Strong Office, Excel, Power Point, and Word skills.
Excellent critical path management skills
Comfortable with senior and junior levels of engagement
