Warranty Product Manager

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join our Argos Financial Services team as a Warranty Product Manager in Milton Keynes.

The Role

As Warranty Product Manager, you will sit within the Product team which is part of the Commercial and Marketing division of Argos Financial Services within Sainsbury’s Argos. You will help to develop and drive the commercial agenda (in line with the over-arching Financial Services group strategy) for the Warranties and Product Services portfolio, primarily by meeting the sales and income generation targets for the group.

As Warranty Product Manager, you will;

Focus on the development of products that will be sold across multiple customer facing channels, and be responsible for the product being built in adherence to full product governance and sold compliantly across offline and online customer purchasing channels, under the direction of the Warranties & Products Controller.
Work closely with the AFS channel management team to support the achievement of stretched performance targets across all POS and Post POS distribution channels. You will also work closely with the AFS/Argos Marketing, Trading and Own Brand teams to maintain and promote the protection product portfolio brand identity and awareness across all these same channels.
Work closely with the warranty providers to create incremental sales in existing and new channels, and to ensure we enhance or build new products and capabilities in line with the market and regulatory framework to serve our customers at the highest standard.
Continually strive to make “Every Argos sale an AFS sale”. Making all AFS protection products available consistently across all of Argos’ distribution channels.
Deliver against the new product development and existing product enhancement roadmap through innovation, to meet our customer’s protection product needs.
Approach every aspect of the role with the customer being put first. Adopting and promoting a culture that nurtures a mindset for good customer outcomes.
Ensure all new and existing products are fit for purpose by being subject to full and continual product governance across their lifecycle.
Put yourself regularly into the “front line” across stores and contact centres to hear what our customers are saying and how they interact with our business.
Adhere to the set 3rd party relationship engagement model which will help us stay close to and grow productive working relationships with our suppliers.

As Warranty Product Manager you will have;

Experience and a proven track record with product & commercial management.
Financial Services experience including an FCA or similar regulated product environment.
Had direct commercial responsibility for a product or set of products within both high street and digital environments.
Experience of managing relationships with large suppliers.
Strong analytical skills enabling you to spot trends and define clear actions from them.
A strong business acumen, commercial astuteness and strategic way of thinking.
The ability to network, challenge, persuade, and influence senior business stakeholders.
The ability to think broadly, find links and relationships across complex business problems and produce innovative and pragmatic solutions to manage and deliver change.
Excellent planning and organisational skills, with an ability to balance a large range of priorities with drive and motivation.
Experience of working within a high-pressure role and demonstrate resilience and tenacity.
A customer focussed outlook on a continual basis to ensure we create the right business culture and customer outcomes.

In addition to the above essential attributes, it would be advantageous for you to have experience within a large multi-channel B2C or retail trading organisation and awareness of Business Objects software.
