We are launching our next brand new Regional Fulfilment Centre (RFC) in Birmingham. This fantastic new centre is enabling us to put the customer at the heart of our network by delivering 53,000 products for our customers same day – an industry leading proposition. Here’s a chance to join us in our brand-new team as we strive for greater heights for our customers.
To help support the overall smooth running of the site from an administration element we have created a brand-new role to work directly alongside the RFC Site Manager.
What you’ll be doing
The Site Administrator will coordinate all operational planning and execution requirements in the RFC. You will support the Argos Values and role model the Site Manager attributes in order to provide a customer centric culture within the site.
Through clear expectations and sound planning they will ensure appropriate resource across the RFC operation to deliver business success in an ever-evolving multi-channel retail environment. You will assume total responsibility for the internal management of controls within the site, supporting delivery of KPIs and ensuring legal, HR and budget controls are met.
The RFC is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days per week so you will need to have the flexibility to cover rotas across our operating hours. Here is some of the other activities you will be doing:
Ensure the tools and processes available are utilised to recruit new colleagues and all legal responsibilities to maintaining their training and safety are met
Ensure that all colleagues are inducted and trained thoroughly in order to be competent and confident to fulfil all aspects of their job role. Utilise Open Door fully as part of creating a culture of continuous learning
Responsible for the effective and smooth management of controls in the RFC
Ensure colleagues understand and implement policies and process relevant to their job role
Ensure compliance for anyone to all Health and Safety standards and legal requirements are met
Support Legal and safety requirements for the van fleet in the absence of the RFC Service Planning Manager
Create a positive environment, coaching and developing their people to be the best they can be, utilising the performance management and talent development tools available
Ensure resources are managed within the RFC resource plan to enable the effective operation across the whole site operation to deliver great standards of customer service whether via fulfilment channels
Directly manage the daily, weekly and monthly requirements of the site operation including resource planning, Health and safety checks and HR controls including right to work maintenance.
What you’ll need
To join us, you’ll need to be customer focused and a true team player. You will help create customer memories of Argos – and you’ll want to make sure customers get their purchases on time and in perfect condition. It would be ideal if you’ve worked in this type of environment before, but don’t worry if you haven’t as you’ll be fully trained. Customer focus, effective communication skills, an eye for detail and a can-do attitude are must-haves.
As a real team player, you’ll get on brilliantly with your teammates, and always be willing to lend a hand. You’ll also be excited about being involved in this new venture, be keen to learn and contribute your ideas on how we can make things run like clockwork.
