Supply chain and fulfilment capability are at the heart of our combined businesses both now and for the future and to support the future strategy in this area we have created a brand-new role that will sit as part of the broader Supply Chain Leadership team; Head of Non-Food Supply, Central Merchandising & Store Replenishment Team (SRT).
In this role you will have a broad remit, responsible for aspects of the inbound supply chain across non-food and directly sourced / imported BWS (beers, wine and spirits) & food. You will also have responsibility for leading the imports team, with full operational and commercial responsibility for 40,000+ inbound container shipments across General Merchandise (GM), Clothing, Beers, Wines & Spirits (BWS), Food and Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) product.
Finally, as we wanted to make the role that little bit broader, you will also be accountable for the Central merchandising team that will provide a commercial platform and support team for the GM, Clothing & Entertainment trading business.

Collaborative planning with all key stakeholders e.g. Trading, Logistics and Retail
Manager compliance – Internal and external. Data and Physical.
Deliver audit actions – Governance, legal, customs
Central Merchandise & SRT
Lead and set the direction for the Central Merchandise strategy
Be accountable for customer availability and management of stock levels across GM and Clothing
Lead the team to control all levels of intake and planning volumes in line with store stockholding targets and to deliver improved product availability and stock holding efficiencies
Appropriate level of experience in a senior supply chain / logistics & merchandising role leadership role
Practical experience during your career within the shipping and imports industry – Customer or service provider
Experience of 3rd party contract management
Experience of improving leading a high degree of change using Continuous Improvement techniques
Proven ability to communicate a clear vision and inspire, motivate and coach a large team to achieve outstanding performance.
Effective communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
Excellent commercial, trading and data interpretation skills.
Ability to work & problem solve cross-functionally in a complex organisational structure, prioritising and managing multiple tasks
Passionate about delivering great customer service.
