Fraud SME

As Fraud SME you will support the Financial Crime Portfolio Lead , FC Project Team and Fraud & Underwriting Team to provide operational fraud expertise and support for all aspects of the Business Transformation Programme FC Workstream. This is a 6 months FTC with potential extension.

As the Fraud SME for our Transformation Programme you will:

Lead on the operational fraud expertise of specific sub workstream projects.
Provide ad-hoc technical support and input into the various sub workstream projects.
Creating and review of business proposals in line with the project.
Review key project outputs (requirements, standards, risk acceptances etc) to ensure technical alignment with the relevant Bank Policies, Regulatory expectations and financial services fraud best practice.
Work with key stakeholders to resolve issues, refine requirements and deliver an optimum solution for the business.
Timely escalation of emerging issues and concerns.
Attend and participate in relevant project governance committees and technical working groups.
Draft weekly SME lead updates for both project team and Senior Fraud & Underwriting Team Manager

As the Fraud SME for our Transformation Programme you will have:

Knowledge of wider fraud environment and industry best practice guidance.
Knowledge of Retail Financial Services Fraud Typologies
A good working knowledge of industry leading decision engine software
High level competence in PC packages
Either: educated to degree level; or in possession of an equivalent professional qualification (Banking exams, insurance exams, accountancy exams)
Strong relationship management and inter-personal skills
Project facilitation/support and technical SME advisory input in complex multi-functional projects
Strong awareness of the control and regulatory environment within a financial services organisation
Strong report writing and presentation skills
Strong track record in delivering practical and compliant Fraud controls/ solutions
Detailed working knowledge of relevant FC Legislation, approved guidance, Regulatory Guidance and industry good practice.
Professional experience of either directly working in, or working in support of the Financial Services Sector – Retail Banking experience preferred but not essential
Detailed knowledge and practical experience of fraud risk management in a retail banking/high volume environment, specifically in relation to: strategy; Planning; operational delivery; system management and tuning, oversight, incident management, risk appetite etc
