About the role:

In this role, you’ll define and deliver our Colleague Tools. Your key focus will be on making sure colleagues in stores have the best tools to help them serve customers, whether they are buying something today or coming in to collect something they have ordered.

You will own and drive the vision for our Electronic Point of Sale tools including our collection apps, building the next generation of solutions that help colleagues to serve customers.

Customers come into our stores today, wanting to buy something. You will focus on helping colleagues help customers complete their journey. From finding the right product, to making them aware of other products that help them get the most out of their purchase.

Think getting an SD card so you can start using your new camera straight away
Knee pads to help keep the kids safe on their new scooters
Finance options that help customers spread the cost of their purchases

Help colleagues take payment for those products in a way that’s seamless for customers, regardless of whether they are paying with cash or their phone.

Customers also come into our stores to collect things they’ve ordered online which they may or may not have already paid for. Your products will help colleagues identify these customers and their orders so we can give them their products as quickly as possible.

About you:

You’ve likely worked in a retail environment before and appreciate the importance of focusing on the customer.
You’ll be passionate about and have experience in building user experiences that are simple and quick for colleagues.
You will have experience explaining technical solutions and benefits to non-technical teams and executives.
You understand how to engage teams using existing processes and get their buy in for your vision so they can adopt the changes you make.
You’re capable of challenging, and being challenged, on a numerate basis to ensure decisions are well founded and tested. Using insight, data, research, and well-honed judgment to ensure you’re focused on making the biggest difference for customers.
You have a willingness and humility to take a setback, dust yourself off and come back ready to learn in an ever-changing atmosphere.
You have experience in Point of Sale solutions
