Operational Analyst – Retail Operations
We have new opportunity for an Operational Analyst to join the Retail Operations team here at Argos, based out of our offices in Milton Keynes (MK9 2NW).
Retail Operations within Argos are responsible for delivering Store fulfilled sales, orders across various collection points, and for our market leading Same Day Home Delivery service. As such the stores operation is reliant on accurate and efficient processes to support the compelling customer propositions they deliver.
Argos is also leading the way in delivering a digital shopping experience, and as such needs to create the associated operations to support the best digital in-store experience.
The increasing shift to digital channels for shopping with Argos creates a wealth of data which drives further opportunity to understand customer behaviour and drive improvements through the provision of insightful analysis.
Our Strategic & Operational analysts will support the development of propositions and operations. They will work closely with all the Store Operational departments in problem analysis (Operations Development, Continuous Improvement, Fulfilment, and Format Development) and work cross functionally to help understand wider customer behaviour associated with our business.
Operational Analyst – the role:
You’ll work with our Business Partners to set quarterly all operational targets and get involved in our strategic operational planning. This means mining complex data warehouses and making sure your analyses are accurate, timely, insightful and engaging.
In addition, you will;
work closely with the Fulfilment Analysts to help understand the capacity impact of fulfilment propositions.
contribute to the business wide adoption of Big Data and creating insightful outputs – linking pieces of analysis together
work to tight time frames and deadlines and ensure that all parties are providing key information on time for effective reporting of KPI’s and metrics.
work collaboratively across functions on larger projects
Operational Analyst – about you:
You will have;
experience in operations supply chain analysis/ financial analysis, business process analytics
a high level of technical expertise. This will include advanced computer literacy and an in-depth knowledge of planning and analysis tools such as…MS Excel / BI Tools / Visio / MS Access. Knowledge of SQL is a must. Experience of Big Data (via Hadoop / MapReduce), Python, Minitab and Adobe Analytics (or similar tools) is preferred but training can be given.
