Product Manager – Order Management
Based in London with trips to Milton Keynes

About the role:

You will own and drive the vision for our Order Management capability. Whether this be working with Sterling Commerce or micro services to make sure we can fulfil our customers’ orders in a way that delights them.

Day to day you’ll work closely with Engineering, Central Operations, Digital, Supply Chain and Analytics teams to define and deliver awesome customer and colleague experiences within an agile environment.

You’ll have significant exposure to senior stakeholders across the business, and the opportunity to shape critical aspects of Argos’ platform working cross functionally to deliver engaging experiences, all whilst using the latest technology.

This role will focus on improving:

Order Management channels and fulfilment propositions: Building out and extending our capabilities to support development of existing propositions, whether that be one provided by us or one of our strategic partners.
Scaling and simplifying the platform supporting our propositions: Working with the technology teams to improve system flexibility and adaptability
Bringing new customer propositions to life, enabling continued growth of the business.

About you:

You will have experience explaining technical solutions and benefits to non-technical teams and executives and gaining their buy-in for your vision so they can adopt the changes you make
You’re capable of challenging, and being challenged, on a numerate basis to ensure decisions are well founded and tested. Using insight, data, research, and well-honed judgment to ensure you’re focused on making the biggest difference for customers

An awareness of UX and its role in improving experience for users and optimising their day to day activities for maximum output
Degree educated or equivalent professional experience would be beneficial
Five-plus years of experience in product management.
Experience managing a product and developing it over time to deliver benefits to the business.
Working knowledge of Order Management flows (order creation, order amendment, cancellation and reverse logistics).
You will have experience working back from a proposed solution or project to iterations that incrementally deliver value.
