Senior Product Manager

As Senior Product Manager, you will sit within the Commercial and Marketing team of Argos Financial Services where your main objective is to manage and drive growth of retail credit. This includes managing key product proposition lines and ongoing business performance to achieve revenue and profit targets.

As Senior Product Manager, you will:

Manage product P&Ls.
Set & manage KPIs. This includes monitoring business performance regularly and proactively instigate remedial action when performance is not achieving KPIs and targets.
Work with external and internal providers to formulate pricing and operational tests to increase sales and retention.
Support the AFS Marketing team in creating marketing proposals, which support product strategy and drive key KPIs.
Plan and own activity to increase card usage among existing store card customers. This will include use of new propositions and pricing to simulate use, retention and reactivation of the Argos Card.

Manage and maintain New Product Development and product lifetime value.
Develop profitable segment acquisition and existing customer strategies, reviewing marketing distribution channels and business models by product and segment.
Develop and document business cases for strategies for presentation to AFS Leadership team.

Lead the external monitoring and internal reporting of GI market and competitor developments, including pricing, to ensure AFS products are competitively positioned in the market.
Continuously review applicable product propositions to ensure they meet target customers' needs and to propose changes where appropriate.
Work alongside colleagues across AFS Commercial and Marketing to ensure product proposition is represented in a compelling way to customers.

Put the customer at the heart of every decision, and adopt and promote a culture that strives for best customer outcomes.
Ensure AFS products continue to meet the needs of our customers by undertaking regular conduct risk reviews.
Monitor and manage customer outcomes, including complaints and NPS scores.

Act as the relationship manager with all stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring all parties are informed and in agreement.
Work with internal stakeholders, including AFS Finance and AFS Marketing, to ensure margins and revenues are maximised.
Establish and nurture relationships with Retail colleagues and work towards making ‘Every Argos sales is an FS sale’.

As Senior Product Manager, you will have;

Extensive experience and a proven track record with product and commercial management.
Financial services experience including FCA or a similar regulated product environment.
Extensive experience in managing retail credit products including commercial and customer outcomes.
Experience of direct commercial responsibility for a product or set of products within retail and digital environment.
Experience of managing relationships with large suppliers.
The ability to network and stakeholder manage across a range of stakeholders in a range of roles, working at a range of levels. This includes challenging, persuading and influencing those senior business stakeholders.
The ability to think broadly, find links and relationship across complex business problems and produce innovative and pragmatic solutions to manage and deliver change.
Excellent planning/organisational skills, with an ability to balance a large range of priorities with drive and motivation.
Worked within a high-pressure role and demonstrates resilience and tenacity.
A customer focused outlook to ensure we create the right outcomes.
The ability to analyse data, spot trends and define clear actions
The ability to manage and motivate a high performing team of direct reports.

It would also be advantageous if you have previous experience of a fast paced B2C or retail trading organisation, a large multi-channel organisation and/or a relevant degree.
