We are looking for a talented and strategic Merchandising Lead to join our new Commercial Transformation Team. Within this exciting and challenging role, you will provide functional based insight and solutions for our commercial team, to help scope the future of our business.

Customers can make purchases from stores across the UK and Ireland, online or over the phone. They can also pick up their goods from a store or have them delivered the same day.
To enable us to continue to grow and improve our customer experience we have created a Transformation team within our Commercial function. This in a unique opportunity for a dynamic and talented Merchandiser/ Merchandise Planner to join the team and be part of projects which will land change for the future.
As a Merchandising Lead, you’re main responsibilities will be to:
Review and design future business processes.
Ensure key functional requirements are in design scope for any proposed change.
Provide analytical thinking to develop and deliver solutions.
Help develop, map and validate, and sign off the ’as-is’ and ‘to-be’ business processes
Based on knowledge of external business processes, understand where the key change impacts will currently be in the function including any process / system impacts that they will have & what solutions could be created.
Manage plans/ functional risks / issues / assumptions / dependencies log.
Work with the Commercial Leads to deliver process and change documentation to support the creation of functional designs.
Help to map and define new ways of working and ensure the correct communication, user documentation, training and skills development solutions are in place in advance to ‘land’ the change successfully on time and in full.
Deliver the change across the relevant trading teams, ensuring any supporting material is written and communicated.
Input to the selection of new tool-sets, both for IS development and business use.
As a Merchandising Lead, your skills & experience will include:
Good level of experience in Merchandise or Supply Chain within retail with excellent understanding of complex processes within commercial functions. Ideally this knowledge will come from experience working in a few retailers to have built your understanding of best in class.
Analytical mind-set with flair for innovative thinking
Ability to comprehend complex business issues and process and pro-actively propose solutions that deliver more efficiency and better performance
Quick learner, keen to continuously develop their knowledge in both the technical and procedural aspects of the role
Ability to work on your own initiative
Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence stakeholders at all levels - you will be responsible for advising business management of the options available, the risks involved and the relative merits of the proposed solutions
