Customer Service Advisor - Financial Services

As a Customer Service Advisor in the Financial Services Card Services department you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, dealing with inbound queries in relation to the Argos Store Card and solving any problems, taking payments and amending customer details. You’ll provide information on products and services and will work as part of a team by supporting your colleagues.

You will be working a minimum of 16-25 hours per week across evenings and weekends. Evening shifts will operate between the hours of 4pm-8pm Monday to Friday, weekend shifts will be between the hours of 8am- 8pm Saturday and 10am-6pm Sunday.

As Customer Service Advisor you will –

Receive inbound contacts from customers
Reply to all correspondence from customers and third parties, ensuring a fair outcome, while achieving all regulatory requirements
Accurately record all customer transactions / interactions, and in line with Data Protection Act guidelines, updating information where necessary
Educate the customer about the benefits of ensuring payments are made and are up to date and provide suitable payment options
Undertake other telephony or admin duties to support within the FS department as necessary

As Customer Service Advisor you will have –

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Customer service experience, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and accurate attention to detail.
The ability to multi-task and be self-motivated
Able to work with little or no supervision, and have confidence when dealing with difficult situations

You will be joining Financial Services where our aim is to make life better every day for Argos customers. We help customers afford and protect what matters most, offering products and services including Credit, Warranties & Insurance.

As well as the opportunity to join a great team you will also receive £8.50 per hour, 23 days holiday (pro rata), and a range of other great benefits. You will need to be available from early June to commence with the compulsory training provided for this role.
