Our Operations Development team within the wider Retail Operations function has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Development Manager to join them, based in our Milton Keynes store support centre (MK9 2NW).
You will be reporting into an Operations Development Manager and will work on and lead a variety of projects across the retail estate that will focus on enhancing the proposition for customers and improving the operation.
This is such an exciting time for the business and this role will be at the forefront of some very exciting, market leading projects.
About the role:
As an Operations Development Manager you will work on projects end-to-end, scoping projects, working with stakeholders to define, trial and ultimately roll out solutions. You will not only have strong Project Management skills, but be able to solve problems and have the drive and resilience to work with others to deliver the projects on time.
You have proven ability to work as part of a cross functional teams, and work with and influence stakeholders across the organisation striking the right balance between driving the project and taking people with you, exhibiting our values and agilities.
Your focus will be on the Retail Operations plan, working on improvements across the retail and fulfilment operations for Sainsbury’s Argos and you will be at the centre of integration journey as we bring the businesses closer together for customers and colleagues.
You will also support future developments that will help the business and customer experience stay at the leading edge of retail.
You will have experience in preferably a retail project environment / consultancy
You will have developed robust project management skills to awareness of all projects and their status always
Your interpersonal and communication skills are very important to ensure that all parties and stakeholders involved are fully aware of project status.
Your numerical ability will ensure the business takes robust data-driven decisions
You will have a change mind set so you can drive process and customer improvements through stores
You will can cope under pressure and high agility is essential in this role.
You will can manage, influence and motivate teams assigned to the project are key to project success
