As a Credit Risk Analyst you will support the Argos Financial Services store card business, assisting in the monitoring, evaluating, communicating and reporting on all aspects of the credit risk recoveries, debt sale and debt placement strategies.

As Credit Risk Analyst you will:
Initiate the development and maintenance of reporting using appropriate tools, and ensure the accuracy of reports through appropriate checking and validation.
Conduct Monthly Debt Sales.
Ensure that accounts are placed for recovery in a timely and efficient manner.
Facilitate the development, production, evaluation and monitoring of the relevant strategies and scorecard/decision systems.
Facilitate effective communication within/between your own team and other functions and efficiently respond to queries raised by internal and external stakeholders.
Identify, manage, monitor and report risks in your area in line with the requirements of the Risk Management Framework Policy.
Required to act in an open, honest and co-operative way with our internal compliance team and regulator where appropriate, notifying them in good time of any circumstance that they might reasonably expect.
As Credit Risk Analyst you will have:
Previous credit risk experience, preferably within a retail or credit card organisation.
Experience of working within an FCA regulated environment.
Previous experience of Debt Recovery and Debt Sale.
A relevant degree in a numerate discipline (ideally mathematics or statistics).
Proven experience of SAS / SQL / SPSS programming skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Good communication skills, with the ability to accurately interpret results of reports produced, making recommendations for change.
A good commercial awareness.
Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
It would also be advantageous if you have previous experience of third party and stakeholder relationship management.
