We currently have a Marketing Executive / Assistant Marketing Planner opportunity available, working within our Marketing Planning team. The team offer the opportunity for a passionate individual to join, bringing new ideas to develop our strategies and excite our customers. As a Marketing Executive / Assistant Marketing Planner at Argos your role will be to assist and support the development and implementation of Category, Customer and Marketing initiatives through gathering & interpreting data, project planning, coordination of project team activities and co-ordinating activity through multiple marketing delivery teams.
Sound like your perfect next step? The role has a high degree of internal stakeholder management. You will be working with team members from marketing, trading and potentially other areas so you will need to have strong influencing skills. You will be coordinating wide teams from across the business, so will need to be comfortable working with all levels of colleagues within the business.

Customers can make purchases from stores across the UK and Ireland, online or over the phone. They can also pick up their goods from a store or have them delivered the same day.
As an Assistant Marketing Planner, your duties will include:
Assisting the Planners in development of customer, channel and category propositions.
Assisting the Planners in building a project team, engaging all stakeholders and getting buy in.
Ensure project is kept on track with great project planning, with clear deliverables identified and timescales understood.
Input into the development of Customer, Marketing Plan and Category Plans by helping to gather the required insights and interpreting data.
As an Assistant Marketing Planner your skills and experience will include:
Strong planning/organisational skills, with business and marketing acumen.
Good project management skills, including ability to write briefs.
Ability to gather and interpret data.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Excellent influencing skills – demonstrated by strong interpersonal and persuasion skills.
Ability to generate new ideas and initiatives, by “stepping outside of the box” to solve needs and objectives.
