Digital Marketing Executive

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join our Argos Financial Services team as a Digital Marketing Executive in Bolton.

You will be joining Financial Services where our aim is to make life better every day for Argos customers. The Role

As Digital Marketing Executive you will support the Multi-Channel Marketing Manager in developing a commercial advantage for Argos Financial Services through the proactive acquisition and retention of engaged Argos Pet Insurance customers.

You will be responsible for creating and deploying the marketing activity across multiple channels including website, paid online, SEO, e-mail, direct mail, outbound telemarketing, social, aggregators and SMS. This is to be delivered on time and within budget.

As Digital Marketing Executive you will;

Report on new business acquisition, retention and MTC targets versus budget, ensuring all campaigns are effectively produced and measured across all channels.
Deliver detailed results and recommendations to the Multi-Channel Marketing Manager for each campaign ensuring sufficient explanation for under or over performance.
Ensure relevant stakeholders have signed off on campaign activity.
Manage online agencies to ensure site content is optimised for maximum SERP exposure from Google for both paid and natural listings.
Manage creative agency to produce creative copy relevant for the channel.
Ensure API website is updated with new content and has not affected existing content.
Manage blog content via the online agency and / or PR agency.
Monitor online API social media sites and ensure queries are responded to by the relevant party.
Liaise with Argos online teams to ensure maximum exposure for API within relevant areas of
Provide key market and competitor reviews that help the Marketing Manager and wider team identify product/marketing campaign opportunities.
Consistently liaise with your line manager to ensure deliverables are on track.

Support own team and direct marketing colleagues through any periods of change and new processes.
Apply the risk framework across the Argos Financial Services Pet Insurance team ensuring risks are mitigated, monitored and controlled. You will also support the Multi-Channel Manager in owning elements of the direct marketing risk register.

Offer a level of thought leadership to the business in relation to direct customer communications.

As Digital Marketing Executive you will have;

At least one years’ experience in a Financial Services marketing function, preferably in an FCA regulated environment.
Knowledge of PPC, Affiliates, SEO, Display, outbound telemarketing, direct mail, e-mail, and web page deployment processes.
Working knowledge of CMS platforms and digital broadcast solutions.
Ability to use appropriate IT applications effectively (including Outlook, Sharepoint, Word, Powerpoint and Excel).
Have a proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
The ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholders across a range of levels up to senior management in our business and with core suppliers.
Self-drive, motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative.

In addition to the above essential attributes, it would be advantageous for you to have;

Digital marketing deployment experience.

Experience of campaign MI gathering and interpretation across multiple marketing channels.
Experience of working with customer segmentation and propensity models.
Knowledge of big data usage and micro segmentation.
Copy writing experience.
An understanding of digital commercial drivers and ROI measurement.
Demonstrable experience of budget management in order to influence business decisions.
Experience of working in a retail based organisation.
A relevant degree.
CIM or IDM qualification.
Knowledge of industry innovations and technological developments.
