Due to rapid growth, our leading Techcessories category has opened an excellent opportunity for a Brand Expert (Assistant Buyer) to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract. Within this role you’ll be a dedicated point of contact for the top Tech brands and take responsibility for developing, launching and managing exciting product ranges through a variety of Argos digital channels.
Known throughout business as the Brand authority on products, customers and processes, the role is truly cross-functional with significant bias towards commercial (Buying and Supply) and digital. The Brand Expert is a generalist role and it is a privileged position to view both businesses (Argos and Brand) through a number of different lenses which offers an ideal platform for career development.
Without a doubt, you’ll need experience in commercial / digital environment with a good understanding of online markets. You’ll need a flair for innovative and analytical thinking and some pretty impressive negotiation skills as well. Add to that a talent for hitting targets, and we should definitely talk.

As a Brand Expert your main responsibilities will be:
Acting as a dedicated point of contact of a Brand (or Supplier) within Argos
Developing, launching and managing successful product ranges across Techcessories
Shaping and implementing the strategic direction and financial plans for your range whilst supporting the delivery of the Brand’s financial KPIs across multiple functions (Buying, Supply Chain, Digital, Marketing and Product Information)
As a Brand Expert your skills & experience will ideally include:
Educated to degree level
Experience in commercial and/or digital function
Analytical mind-set with flair for innovative thinking
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to work at pace with ambiguity across multiple priorities
Highly proficient in MS Excel with knowledge of MS Access (desirable)
