As we move into the next phase of our transformation – our integration with Sainsbury’s - we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Talent & Resourcing Partner to join our Head Office Resourcing team to own and progress our agenda within Distribution, Home Delivery & Supply Chain.
Our award winning Supply Chain operation is at the forefront of our digital transformation, creating more choice for our customers, and ensuring products are available quickly and even on the same day for over 20,000 lines!
Bit about the Role:
We need great colleagues now and in the future to support the Supply Chain operation and that’s where you come in. We need an experienced recruitment professional to partner these key business areas, to understand their talent needs, create a pipeline to meet those needs, both internally and externally. You will work within the Head Office Resourcing team (a fun and friendly bunch) but at the same time you will also develop and work closely with your HR colleagues.
You will be responsible for managing all talent attraction and resourcing; sourcing the best possible candidates and managing them through the recruitment process ensuring they have the best possible experience. You will be accountable for significantly driving down agency spend and developing the recruitment framework and processes to support hiring managers to make great hiring decisions across the functions.
Some of the additional but not all of the key activities you will be responsible for are:
Work closely with the Talent and Resourcing Manager to shape and deliver the overall Resourcing Strategy for their given function(s) to ensure the business is adequately and effectively resourced to deliver short to medium term strategic plans
To ensure the Argos’ brand is reflected throughout the whole recruitment and on boarding processes
Partner with your functions to define the short to mid-term view of talent requirements and key skills needed to fulfil short and medium term resourcing approach
Define, implement and manage a focussed and progressive direct attraction/sourcing strategy ensuring the best possible candidate experience, including sourcing channels, management of our PSL and continuous review of assessment materials
Works in partnership with the team’s Talent and Resourcing Advisors to support the best channels for your functions to ensure that a pipeline of talent is created for key and high volume roles
To support the development of the team’s Talent and Resourcing Advisors
Ad hoc project work to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Resourcing function
We are looking for someone with some really solid recruitment/resourcing experience; this could be either in house / RPO / agency – we don’t mind! What is essential is that you really know your stuff when it comes to the most effective direct sourcing techniques, vacancy management, employer brand & building effective and collaborative business partnering relationships.
Ideally you will have experience in recruiting for Supply Chain and Distribution, but hey that’s not essential as we are friendly bunch here and we can help you along in learning about the functions you will be supporting – key thing is your recruitment knowledge.
