We are currently looking for a New Business Manager to join our Argos For Business Gifting team.
You will take ownership of developing, driving and delivering their own new business strategy. Although there will be an overall Gifting strategy, and an over-arching sales development strategy, you must show demonstrable and ongoing evidence of a pro-active, stand-alone, winning new business strategies with measurable outcomes.
Step change sales growth will be achieved by winning new business through product and industry expertise and a proactive outbound selling strategy to larger clients and business opportunities. We are looking for a results driven and motivated individual, focused on achieving and exceeding targets.

What I need to do
Contribute significantly to the delivery of the Direct Argos Gifting new business sales growth of £30m within 24 months
Develop a winning sales growth strategy for New Business Gifting, delivering a step change in growth rate
Whilst acting under the direction of the Gifting Sales Manager, personally develop and implement your own new business plan – from pre-sales to closure.
Be an independent sales lead for Argos in Gifting b2b. First class credibility, new business will to win, delivering growth results at pace
Working from cold - win significant new business sales from new clients, new markets and new channels
Define a new business sales strategy that results in Argos winning in the b2b Gift card market
Working with Marketing, develop, implement and execute a Marketing and campaign plan that aligns to your defined Gifting strategy
Clearly identify and communicate the markets where you will win, and more importantly how you will win
Clearly communicate your own new business pipeline
Clearly prioritise the opportunities, the biggest sales potentials, and communicate the action plan from pre – sales through to deal closure
Ensure that you lead from the front delivering sales pitches and closure plans
Request relevant support when required – e.g. Head of Gifting, Gifting Sales Manager
Become an expert in Gifting, the gifting market, the product and proposition set, and the market
Clearly document and define where you will win
Develop a trackable plan to drive improvements in margin and profit – to include discount management, cost management and recovery of costs as required
Work across divisional boundaries to develop best practice
Identify broader Argos and merchandise sales opportunities from existing and new clients – deliver leads and opportunities to the Merchandise business team
