And right now we’re looking for experienced Finance Controller to play a leading role within our business.
In a nutshell:
Lead a team of 12 financial professionals to drive the business performance by effectively business partnering across the Commercial and Commercial Supply teams. Provide a decision support service to ensure we partner our key stakeholders to make informed and effective commercial decisions to maximise the value created.
Role focuses include:
Provide analytical support to the Commercial teams to help make sound commercial business decisions and improve business performance.
Provide the Commercial Director and the Senior Leadership Team with a signed-off sales and margin plan, and monitor performance, providing regular insight into the drivers of performance, and communicate any risks and opportunities. Provide advice on opportunities to maximise profitable growth.
Understand the markets in which the business operates and the specific impacts this will have on trading performance.
Key linkage with the Asia Sourcing office, completing sourcing budgets in conjunction with the trading teams and providing commentary and insight on performance.
Support all key processes within trading – Final pricing, Sales and Margin Budgeting, Category Planning etc.
This team will work closely within the FP&A Centre of Excellence, specifically the resource and expertise within the Accounting and Reporting, Financial Accounting and Analytics teams to provide an end to service to our stakeholders.
Attend and actively contribute to key meetings as required: Trading Meeting, Commercial Committee, Commercial Planning/Leadership days.
What you need to know:
Qualified Finance Professional with proven experience in operating at a senior level
Possess strong commercial awareness ideally gained within a retail organisation
Understanding on drivers of business performance and the levers available to impact performance
Track record of value creation and delivering results
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills in order to establish sound business partnering relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Strong presentational skills to ensure key elements of insight can be drawn out in presentations to Senior leadership team
Strong analytical skills supported by solid IT skills including Excel
Experience in setting goals for, and managing the development of a mainly-qualified and experienced team would be advantageous
