A Retail Delivery Manager is responsible for the delivery of all Retail Investment and Divestment Projects through a team of internal and external support and resource. An exciting position involving the planning and implementation of retail change across the Argos estate, to a consistently high standard. You'll ensure that operational change lands and embeds right first time for our colleagues and customers.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Accountable for onsite retail investment and divestment delivery activities and planning of, ensuring the completion of various projects are on time, to quality with no adverse effect on the store operation and where possible sales performance during the investment period.
Accountable for the agreed project management methodology, approach, documentation, opening schedules, toolkit, directive writing and project reporting.
Supporting pre contract activities, completing appropriate documentation and following up on agreed actions/concerns.
Responsible for taking the store colleagues on the journey via regular communication and engagement, leading engagement days and providing in depth support and guidance throughout the process.
Work in partnership with the store manager and teams through the investment process, providing expert advice and to maintain the required operational standards of the store during works and post launch.
Responsible for proactively managing risks and issues, liaising with key stakeholders to offer considered solutions to overcome them.
Responsible for communication to all relevant stakeholders, including the clear agreements of outstanding actions post project completion.
Responsible for contributing towards the continuous improvement of the investment and divestment delivery process, ensuring that all best practice, lesson logs, and innovations are shared and to support relevant Post Investment Review’s (PIR), to ensure all key learnings are captured and fed back in an appropriate and constructive manner.
To work cross functionally with the Retail Operations team to deliver the investment and divestment programme.
Experience working in either a store development or project management / support role
Proven experience in managing internal or external resource
Ability to use intuition and judgement to make sound decisions
Mitigation of risks to the individual project through effective planning, escalation of issues and sharing of best practice
To develop, coach, motivate and inspire a high performing team, ensuring relevant and challenging objectives are set which lead to an active succession plan.
